Canvey Island Football Club are pleased to announce an
exciting event to be held at the Club’s Park Lane Stadium this summer.
On Sunday 26th of July one of England’s and
Europe’s biggest clubs will be taking part in a Legends Football match.
Canvey Island FC Legends V Chelsea Legends will take
place on Sunday 26th of July with a 2pm KO, gates open at Noon.
Chelsea Legends such as Ray Wilkins, Kerry Dixon, Clive
Walker, Scott Minto plus many more will be staring for the Blues old boys.
Southend United Manger Steve Tilson and former England
manger Peter Taylor will be part of the Canvey Legends squad along with a
number of players from the 2000/2001 FA Trophy winning side.
Pre Match Chelsea’s qualified coaches will be putting 30
local Boys and Girls through their paces during a mini coaching session.
During the day there will be other events taking place
including a Sporting Memorabilia auction, Charity Raffle and Face Painting.
Full club facilities such as a Fully Licensed Bar, Hot
and Cold food outlets and Tea Bar will be available to all supporters attending
the day.
As part of the Legends game Canvey Island FC will be
auctioning 3 places in their Legends Squad, so if you would like to line up
with or against some of your footballing hero’s please contact Chris Sutton on

Canvey Island Football club are also pleased to announce
that a donation from funds raised from the event will be made to St Lukes Hospice
the clubs official Charity.
